![]() The Card system is just awful, if you play this right after KH1 the lack of guard is agonizing, most of the Black cards don't help much (i said most, there are some useful such as the operas), i feel like the game didn't pass very the feeling of "Sora's slowly losing memories" well enough to me. It's considered by many the worst KH game, and i agree with them, Union X right by it (I'm not a fan of such mobile games). I don't think it's really all that worth to play nowadays unless you REALLY want to play every KH game. Overall, I think it's a fun game with interesting mechanics and an okay story, however I don't think it has a lot of staying power. ![]() Now, looking back on it with all the context we have now, I'm honestly not much of a fan. As a kid, I was totally under the assumption that it was just a little spin off game that you wouldn't need to play (hence the memory shenanigans conveniently wiping Sora and Co.'s experience of the game), but you could get some fun added bonus knowledge if you did play it. I think it starts out pretty fun (Traverse Town and the first stretch of worlds), but after that, you usually have such a collection that you can just easily walk through most battles without a second thought. ![]() I think the sprite work in the original looks super clean, I think battles are more enjoyable (albeit less flashy and exciting), and I just don't think the stuff added in Re:CoM is enough to make me want to play it over the original.Īs for the game itself, I think it's just a bit too easy. The narrative, mechanics, and gameplay are all designed to be in such a way that you can pick up, play for a bit, and put it down, and I don't think the 3D adds to in fact, I honestly feel like the 3D makes the game less enjoyable as a whole. ![]() I feel like the game is just more enjoyable as a portable experience. ![]()
